EIP’s COO, David Haass, will be among the “felons” at the 10th Annual Wheelchairs 4 Kids Jail & Bail Fundraising Event. No stranger to being locked up, David also participated in the previous two years of Jail & Bail.

The event will be held at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Tampa on Friday, July 16, 2021, and is open to “felons” only. Julie and Steve Weintraub of Gold & Diamond Source will serve as the “judges.” The Tampa Bay power couple is tasked with determining the fate of the 22 local executives, business owners, and other professionals in their custody.

This year, David – a.k.a. “Hasta La Vista” – is charged with premium diversion for saving beneficiaries too much money. As EIP’s clients spend less on their health care, the insurance companies claim David robbed them! Thus, there is a warrant for his arrest, as he repeatedly goes above and beyond to make sure everyone gets the best deals on the right plans for their needs.

If David’s bail amount falls short, EIP’s marketing team will throw him in jail. There, he would await trial, and if found guilty, he could face up to five years in state prison and a $50,000 fine! So, for EIP’s clients to keep saving money, David must meet bail.

Based locally, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, Wheelchairs 4 Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Their mission is to help disabled children in need obtain not only wheelchairs but ramps, lifts, home modifications, and opportunities to live life to its fullest. Often, children in wheelchairs require new equipment before their families have the financial means. Hence, the need for the vital work of Wheelchairs 4 Kids.

Giving back is an integral part of the culture at Elite Insurance Partners, and Wheelchairs 4 Kids is one of EIP’s favorite charities to help support. In addition to Jail & Bail, we sponsor their annual Wheely Good Time event each fall and Kimberly Knorr Memorial Celebrity Golf Tournament each January. When we get the opportunity to see children receive new, comfortable, appropriately sized, and well-equipped wheelchairs, it brings a smile to our faces.

David’s “bail” is set at $3,000, but the more we can exceed that amount, the better! If you wish to help #FreeDavid, visit his (tax-deductible) donation link and share it with your friends and family. Every penny makes a difference in a child’s life!
