The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period begins on October 15th. At EIP, the past month has been focused on educating beneficiaries so they can make informed choices.
Our education efforts include a new Facebook community, as well as a mini-video series for National Medicare Education Week to launch or YouTube community.
Also, in September, we were recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in Florida, as well as chose our annual scholarship winner!
One of EIP’s missions is to help people understand Medicare so they can make informed decisions. Now we have a group dedicated to helping people become educated on Medicare. Whether you’re a current Medicare beneficiary, taking care of a loved one on Medicare, or will be aging into Medicare shortly, this is your Medicare resource center.
On our new Facebook community, you can ask questions, get answers from other beneficiaries, and share insights with other group members—all without having to give out contact information or speak with an agent. We also post videos, articles, resources, and other Medicare information on the group page.
To join the Facebook group, just go to the group page and click on the “join” icon. We’ll approve your request promptly and you can start getting and sharing information. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you’ll need to sign up for one first.
EIP celebrated National Medicare Education Week in September by creating a mini video series to launch our new YouTube community. In this mini-series, Lindsay Malzone, our marketing specialist, asks one of our agency supervisors, John Lehman, questions regarding important Medicare topics.
- The Annual Enrollment Period from October 15th to December 7th
- The differences between Medicare Parts A, B, C and D
- How to enroll in Medicare
- Services that are free under Medicare and services that aren’t covered at all
- Common Medicare myths
We also created a video about Medicare changes for 2020. In this video, Shayna Lawler, our Social Media Strategist, and Lindsay discuss MACRA and the discontinuation of first-dollar coverage plans, a new high-deductible plan being introduced, as well as Part A & Part B increases.
EIP has been ranked number 20 on the Florida Fast 100, a list of the fastest-growing companies in the Sunshine State, based on the percentage of revenue growth from 2016-2018.
The recognition reflects the progress EIP has made toward its goal of helping as many Medicare beneficiaries as possible.
To be eligible for the list, companies must be privately held, for-profit, based in Florida, and in business before 2016. They also must have had more than $1 million in revenue for 2016 or more than $5 million in 2018.
