The fall and winter holiday season is busy, and that’s especially true at Elite Insurance Partners. Between October and December, we helped hundreds of people navigate Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period.
We also participated in fundraisers that provided food to families in need and wheelchairs to disabled children. And we ended the year with a company celebration and a week off for everyone.
In November, we participated in our first-ever “Cansgiving.” To make things fun and encourage everyone to participate, we divided our staff into two teams.
Then we held a competition to see which team could collect the most food to donate.
It turns out that EIP employees are both generous and competitive. We gathered a total of 915 cans of food that we then delivered to Somebody Cares Tampa Bay.
Somebody Cares is a network of independent non-profit community agencies that work with ministries to improve lives and communities. Somebody Cares distributes food donations to area ministries and food pantries, which then use them to feed the hungry.
The organization’s efforts feed about 35,000 people every month. Somebody Cares also sponsors a program that helps homeowners with repair and beautification projects and a back-to-school program that provides backpacks and school supplies to children in need.
Our annual Thanksgiving potluck was once again an amazing success! We had tons of delicious homemade dishes brought in by the entire EIP team.
Our CEO, Jagger Esch, had to dress up like a turkey during our Thanksgiving potluck since his team lost the Cansgiving competition!
We gathered around with our turkey of a CEO and our amazing team members enjoying each other’s company while celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday.
We supported Wheelchairs 4 Kids at their annual Wheely Good Time fundraiser on November 23rd at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida.
The live and silent auction fundraiser raised $140,000 through bidding on items that included concert tickets and vacation packages.
The mission of Wheelchairs 4 Kids is to improve the lives of children with physical disabilities nationwide. Many disabled children must navigate life in wheelchairs that are too small, are in disrepair, or don’t meet their needs.
Families care for these children in homes that may not be well-suited to a disabled person. Wheelchairs 4 Kids provides these children and families with wheelchairs and other assistive devices, vehicle modifications, and home modifications.
Wheelchairs 4 Kids presented several children with new wheelchairs at the event.
One of them, a 14-year old boy, received a bicycle wheelchair and promptly took it outside for a spin. We are proud to continue our tradition of supporting this organization.
Our team celebrated the holidays with a Christmas party on December 21st at Bon Appetit, a beautiful waterfront restaurant in Dunedin, Florida.
The event was one we’ll never forget! It included an award ceremony, amazing food, Secret Santa, and dancing!
We even put together a slideshow of the event!
After the party was over, our whole staff took Christmas week off to recharge and spend time with friends and loved ones.
We came back to work refreshed and ready for the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, which began January 1st.
